XDM site preparation begins at HartRAO 2006/10/25


Preparations for the building of the eXperimental Development Model (XDM) for the Karoo Array Telescope (KAT) got underway at Hartebeesthoek on Wednesday 25 October 2006. XDM will be a 15 metre diameter antenna of a new design.

IST safety officer Andre Stander gave a presentation to the civil works contractors and other IST and HartRAO staff who will have access to the construction site for XDM and C-BASS.
