NCCS Output Files from Single-Dish Observing

M J Gaylard, J L Jonas

2002/02/06

This document discusses the content and formats for output files for recording the data from single dish observing with the NCCS. It is proposed that FITS-format files are used to record housekeeping information in the form of keywords and their associated parameters, and data in an accompanying array or binary table. Proposed keywords and their parameters are defined. Typical real-world examples are provided. Written in SGML, this document is viewable from the NCCS documentation index at /usr/local/src/nccs/doc/index.html using Netscape, and can be converted to other formats, e.g. latex, plain-text etc. using SGML-tools.
